We drove for 10 hours to get from the bungle bungles to Broome. When we got there we got in the pool and then went to the beach to watch the sunset. Me and Elly played in the waves and our clothes got soaked. Then it was time to go home.

The next day we went to the visitor centre and we were there for like half an hour. We bought badges for our scout blankets, they said Broome, Staircase to the Moon. We went to the Sun Pictures outdoor movie and we watched the Secret Garden. Elly got to eat musk sticks and I had lolly snakes.

The next day we went to Willie Creek Pearl Farm. Me and Elly played this game, whoever spotted the most scarecrows on the way got a little chocolate - I won because in the end I got 20 points and Elly only got 5. We got to open our own oyster and it was really good and they said the pearl was about $800. We got to find out what ate oysters and I didn't know that turtles ate them. When they were showing us the oysters that they just got out of the water I was looking for turtles but I didn't see any. And I figured out that the tide comes in every 6 hours.

The next morning we went for a walk on the beach to spot turtles. But we only found sea urchins shells. That afternoon at 3 o'clock we went on a camel ride on the beach. We kept photo bombing in everybody's photos. The camel me and Mum were on I named him stinky but his real name was Moshie. I had fun.

In the morning we went to the beach and I made a fancy sand castle, Elly called it a sand palace. I used cuttlefish shells and coral to decorate it while Elly was on a boogie board that we hired getting towed by the waves. Then we got home and went in the pool for an hour. After that we went on a bike ride, we got halfway to cable beach and on the way back we went to the distillery. When we got home we went back in the pool for another 2 hours. We were very tired that night and Elly was the last one up the next morning. She fell asleep within 10 minutes.

In the morning we went fishing, we caught nothing and Dad kept throwing the bait off the fishing line. We kayaked there and back and it was really wavy. When we were on the way back Elly landed on the boat ramp and hurt herself. We had hot chip butties for lunch and we went to the beach with Staggers and watched the sunset. I kept building sandcastles and then jumping on them and I ate most of the nibbles.

On our last day we went out to see the planes crashed in the war and on the way back we saw a turtle. It was our first wild turtle we have seen. It was 5 o'clock when we got up, me and Elly did not want to get up but seeing the turtle made the morning better.

I really want to go back and do more on the beach and go camping on the beach we found going back from Willie Creek.

You sound as though your having a lot of fun Charli, your sandcastles are very imaginative. Was Moshie good to ride on? I believe most camels are a bit stinky!!! Guess you really enjoyed finding the sea turtle, especially as you'd done research on them last year. We have a new pet lamb, called Rosie. Lenny doesn't like it because she's taken over his shed, and we've been getting quite a lot of rain. Lenny has to stay in the paddock while Rosie can stay in the shed. Keep up your stories, they are very good to read. Xxx
